With Borreguita and the Coyote, we learned what a glossary is and went over the definitions of the Spanish words used in the book. We introduced Hispanic Heritage month with this book as it is a folktale from Ayutla, Mexico. Folktales tend to originate from a specific place There was a role swap in who was clever in this book; the coyote was gullible and the sheep (borreguita) was especially cunning.
